What Trucking Company Will Pay Me And Pay To Train Me?
I would really like to start a career as a truck driver. I don’t have the money to go to school, so I am trying to find a company that will pay to train me, and pay me while I train.

Schneider, Swift and CR England will all give you training & I believe will also pay you a small weekly amount while you’re in training (I am almost positive Schneider pays $250 per week.)
Your transportation to their training facility is paid for, as is your lodging while you’re in training….this goes for all of the above companies. Some companies pay for meals or provide free meals, others make you buy your own.
Only catch is, you’ve got to sign a contract to remain with the company for a period of time (1 year to 18 months)….if you quit or get fired, you owe them the money for your training.
For a lot of good info & tons of questions and answers related to trucking, check out this Yahoo group: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/tr…
It’s made up of new & prospective drivers like yourself, and a lot of “old hands” who’ve been in the industry for 5-25 years. You can ask any sort of question you like, and get a TON of input. No flaming, no rudeness, no vulgarity, just good info. There’s been a lot of great activity lately….and if you don’t want a billion emails, you can always choose “No Mail” and participate via the website.
