DAT is like a credit check for truck driver, it is more of a data base if the been an accident, drug problem ect.

They may be using the abbreviation for data. What they should be asking about is your CDL’s Commercial Drivers Lisence. The DOT is over all vehicles on the roadway wether they be commercial or personal.

Your question makes no sense. If what you’re saying is: “the company has to get your D.O.T. before hiring…” That means they are checking you, your license and your driving quailfications out with the Department Of Transportation.
So if YOU are a terrorist, trying to get behind the wheel of one of our big rigs for evil-doing….YOU WILL GET CAUGHT !
