I work this company for like 3 to 4 months and I had like 4 minor incident or accidents as the truck driving/ insurance company call them. I have been searching for a job since March 2008 and I keep hearing the same thing, I need to get a year of safe driving in before they will even consider hiring me but how can I get that year in if no one wants to give me the opportunity to prove myself?

He was sent a ticket in the mail (he got a picture taken of him, his car, and license plates clear as day from the cameras set up in a parked unmarked police vehicle). Will there be points added to his CDL license? Is there a driving class that they offer to not have it go on his CDL? He is a city worker and drives city trucks. Can anyone please offer any info? But the table shown in the source link shows all the other various fees which you’ll have to consider if they apply to you, such as skills tests, class upgrades, etc.

I went into business for myself as a kennel owner and trainer till my dad took ill in Ga. thus me moving there in June. Well I found my savings going fast and now struggle to keep the wolves from the front door.
I started applying on line to lots of trucking companies but all came back with “we need current experience”
Then I searched for companies that require no experience and have applied to a few just the other day.
It really hurts to have given up on a career that I truly loved and made good money at but starting my business somewhere new will take time that I don`t have and I need to be able to make a living and pay the bills thus falling back on my class A CDL.
Does anyone know of any trucking companies or even owner operators that will give experience/ hire some one that still actually knows what he is doing without it costing me an arm and leg?
Who would you recommend?
