we own our own truck. my husband drives, but i would like to be able to help with income. someday we would like to move freight ourselves, but for now i would like to start out with a company that will train and hire me.
I just applied for a job to be a tow truck operator and all it said is I had to be 19+, class 5 licence and good driving record. and it said willing to train. So I was just wondering is tow truck driving fun, hard, easy to learn?

No, most drive like normal automobiles. you just have a wider turning radius. I learned to drive one in less than a day. CDL is real easy to get, I just had to apply, get my picture took and the DMV gave it to me. Didn’t even have to drive for them.
To pass a cdl you much pass a driving test.How do you pratice driving when you don’t have a truck? I’ve tried to get people to let me pratice in their truck but they tell me that their insurance would’t be good.

I was told if I go to Iraq as a 63b (light wheel mechanic) in the Army, I would be working on all vehicals. So Im curious to know if i will get a CDL license if i drive and work on trucks.
