it makes no sense, its not like im renting their company to live in as an apartment or house!! what the hell is the point of a employer doing a credit history check on a potential employee?

It does not matter how many children you are ACTUALLY carrying, if the vehicle is DESIGNED to carry 16 or more people (including the driver) then you will need a CDL with a P endorsement. Also, if it is a school vehicle, you need a CDL with a S endorsement.

They can go back as long as they want for a non-CDL job. Usually 3 years (pizza delivery, parts runner, courtesy van etc.)
