Does Anyone Have A List Of All The Truck Companies That Do Interstate Runs. For Example Bunker Freight Lines?

I want to compile a list of all the truck companies that do interstate runs, prefably having a base that is in sydney, and that run HC, and MC trucks. A few that I know of are Bunker, Concord Park Transpport, Perth Freight Liners. I am interested in getting an interstate driving job. I am not to concerned who I work for at the moment, I just want to know every company that I could possibly apply to.

I drive trks 4 a career, and I must admit its the hardest job Ive ever done! Ive never seen so many jobs wrapped into one. My question is this! Can you give me feedback on how you think about this job and also if anyone has been touched by this profession. Good or bad. Im writing this manuel for anyone deciding to go into this field. My boyfriend is looking into doing the whole truck driving thing, both he and I are working but I will have to take a year off to finish the last year of school and I need to know more or less how much they make and if its safe for me to get rid of my job so that I can finish school.

How Much Does It Cost To Get A Cdl License, Including Training?

My fiance is having a hard time finding a job, but we see that there are always openings for people looking for employees with a CDL license. My fiance is very interested in this, applied to a job that was posted and it turned out to be a CDL training school. They said it was going to cost $13,000 for him to go to their school?? I don’t think that is a reasonable price at all.
I’m trying to seriously look into this so that we can see if we can save to be able to afford to make this investment in him. Anyone on here have their CDL license or know someone who got theirs? If so, how did you get it (which program or school did you use) and what was the approximate cost of the training?
I am supposed to be getting a bonus in March and if I can swing this with my bonus, I definitely think it would be a wise investment in …giving my General Contractor fiance another skill that he can have in his pocket when applying for jobs.

How Many Hours A Day Does The Average Truck School Graduate Work?

I need money and I know that there is a truck driving school right down the road from where I live.
But someone told me that they are on the road non stop and dont even get to go home for only one day a week.
For someone with a class A cdl that drives “longhaul” how much time am I going to be working as a recent graduate?
Hours a week and hours a day?
If you have any information on the Schneider Trucking Company and there hours that would also help.
I know that I am paid by the mile and not hourly I just want to know if all the money they pay is worth it or if I would be better off finding an hourly job somewhere.
Also if you could include your refference that would aid me in my decision.

I want to get trained so I can get a CDL, (probably class “A”) and I’m amazed at the number of scams and misinformation out there. I’m worried that I’ll get ripped off.

It “appears” to be legit, but will it give me what I really need to get a job?
I also see some people saying it’s better to try to get a job with a trucking company first, and have them provide you with the training / tuition etc….but then when I look for jobs like that online, I don’t see any that say they will hire a beginner and train them! They all want experienced, licensed drivers, and I don’t blame them…talk about the chicken and the egg…

What Work Does A Truck Driver Do Besides Driving?

I am looking into becoming a trucker. I’ve read a lot about this type of job on the internet. I’ve read that legally you can drive 11 hours per day and work a total of 14 hours per day. So what does this other work consist of?
Also, does your company pressure you to work beyond these limits?
