I Want To Get Company Paid Cdl Training In Ark,but Company Wont Let Me Drive Till The Date Of My License?

I have applied using driver solutions, however they say because of insurance purposes because i let my Dl expire for a few weeks last year that I cannot train until the date of the license issue , even though my DL is now up to date.Does anyone know of a company i can go ahead a train through without waiting 6 months?

I turn 21 next month, and have been dreaming of becoming a truck driver since i was in high school. I have found companys, such as CRST, CR England and Swift. I’m not sure which one is the best for my location, Los Angeles. Doe’s anyone know which companys are close by LA or which companys offer completely paid training? I just got my own place, and I am barely paying rent, so I need a paid training job for sure so I can have a smooth transition. I’m open to All Advice about truck driving or anything else for that fact too.

Here is the problem that I’m running into. I work this company for like 3 to 4 months and I had like 4 minor incident or accidents as the truck driving/ insurance company call them. I have been searching for a job since March 2008 and I keep hearing the same thing, I need to get a year of safe driving in before they will even consider hiring me but how can I get that year in if no one wants to give me the opportunity to prove myself?

I was driving on us 6 and turning onto us35 in wanatah, indiana. As i was on the on ramp, i felt something in my trailer jerk and next thing i know i wake up and the truck and trailer is on its side. i have 2 witnesses stating i was going the speed i said i was going, and no major damage was done except to the truck. It was not my fault, i couldnt even get into the trailer to check to see if it was loaded right because it was a sealed load. I recieved no citations, no points on my license, just a phone call saying that my employment was terminated. Is there anybody that knows of a company that will even listen to what i have to say b4 they hang up. I need to get back out on the road asap… Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What Trucking Company Would Hire Me?

I am interested in a OTR career but I do not have a clean mvr. I have 13 years experience driving various tractor trailer configurations and 30 years exp. driving specialized straight truck configurations such as drilling rig carriers and such but I have never driven for an OTR company.
I have had 2 DWI’s(non cdl) the first being in 1987 and the last in 2004. no accidents, or moving violations ever. I have since sobered up and do not consume any alcohol and/or drugs or tobacco products and am looking towards my last good 20yrs. of work before I retire.
I have a valid CDL A with t-n endorsements(adding x soon)a current medical card and a current TWIC card.
Is there a company that would be interested in giving me an opportunity to drive for them?

Truck Drivers, Does Your Company Offer The Insurance That Bonds You In Case Of An Accident / Another Car?

My husband just changed careers and is about to start driving a truck. He went to school for his CDL and then spent five weeks on the road with a ‘trainer’ and is now at headquarters finalizing his training with the company before getting his truck.
In all the paper work he is signing and insurance papers, health and life, they have offered him a what I gather is prepaid legal help in case of an accident. It gives so many thousands of dollars of bonding and bail and an attorney. It costs approx. $8 a week. By the time life and health insurance is taken out, taxes and the loan they helped with driving school the $$ are flying out the water.
We just want to know if this is something he should really have or not. I know $32 a month doesn’t sound like much but it is all mounting up. However, if advised to keep we certainly will. We are simply seeking wisdom from experienced drivers since we really don’t have any.
BTW he is driving for P.A.M. Transport.

i’m 35 yrs old and been with the company that i’m working at now for 18 yrs and this past year was terrible because i was transferred to another property, with the same company, after the one i was originally at for 17 yrs closed down, and i was wanting to make a career change to trucking but i don’t have any experience, so can anyone help me out or know any good trucking companies that train or hire driver trainees. Also i do have a class A permit which expires in April. Thanks
