Northern Guy Thinking About Leaving City To Follow Career In Small Southern Town. Could I Stay Sane?

Milwaukee Wisconsin to town of 9,000 in southern Indiana. Management position that pays handsomely with room for advancement. No girl. No kids. No roots. Friends vs peace and quiet. Concrete jungle vs campfires. Street lights vs stars. I don’t have a truck or a gun and this city’s online paper had pictures of pig wrestling at the county fair; however I could use some time to catch up on reading, writing, or continuing my education. Any advice?
