Maximum Number Hours Working And Then Driving A Truck In The State Of Oregon?

Hubby’s doing a big job, probably going for 16 hours or so in a town 2 hours away. After driving there at 3am, he’ll work himself silly (labor/supervisor position) and then have to drive the 2 hours back. I know, I know – who care’s right? We live in America where we should work 3 days straight and not drink water due to the dilution of coffee, but really? What about road hazards, for crying out loud?
Just wondering if it’s legal to drive after all that.

It is always illegal to drive if you are not capable of driving safely. Perhaps it is because we are “the land of the free,” but the laws allow your husband to make the decision whether he can drive safely. If he cannot, he should stay in a hotel.
Please use whatever influence you have over your husband to encourage him to be safe.
