In Virginia How Long Must I Have My Permit To Get My Cdl License?

well i think its the same in all states, the CDL here in NC is only valid for 6 months, you can go for your CDL license anytime before the 6 months, you can get the permit then go for the test the next day if you want to, i only had my CDL permit for 1 1/2 months before i got my CDL license, just remember that 6 months isn’t when you go get the license, its when the permit expires so you go for the license BEFORE the 6 months, if the CDL permit expires before you get the license im sure all you have to do is take the written tests again to get another one, im not sure if you can renew the permit
