In California, How Long Does It Take For Points To Drop Off My Driving Record?
Right now I’ve got five points on my record. I’d like to know how long I’ll have to wait before I can get a “clean” DMV printout and start applying for jobs that involve driving a car, truck, or bus?

They will always be there, it’s a matter of how far back the employers care to look.

3 to 7 yrs pretty much any state
