Gps Help Please, I Need To Buy A Good Gps Cuz I Got A Job As A Tow Truck Driver. It Needs To Be Upgrade Able?

i am looking to spend under $210.00 for a gps. I need it to be able to have new maps down loadable. in case I get a job driving straight trucks I need to down load the truck routes.
I want to buy it off ebay so I can use the buyer credit.
I want the best for the money of course.

    Hi Derrick,
    Well first you don’t have to download maps. Your GPS will come with complete map sets of the entire US. You can, however download new map sets when they come out.
    I would recommend the Garmin Nuvi 200W or 250W. Amazon has a good description page. You can view them there then go to eBay to buy them.

    You should be able to beat those prices on eBay so they are in your price range.

    I have heard that TomTom Customer service is non-existant and they don’t respond to emails or phone calls.. I think only snail-mail.. or they take months to respond. Plus I have heard that updating the maps is a pain or they don’t have new maps.
    I have the Garmin 660 I think it’s amazing.. I bought it from amazon I couldn’t believe they had it like $400 off and I got it for the same price as the lower low models ..

    Hi Derrick,
    For truck navigation systems, you should look for a software called “Co-Pilot Live” from ALK Technologies. It’s the best software for trucking.
    You can install it on a mobile device or a laptop.
    If GPS systems is your route, go for brands like Garmin and Tom Tom. You certainly can find a lot of these bargains off eBay as well.
