Can You Insert Just Road Names To A Gps W/out An Actual Address?

I’m getting into Tow-Truck driving & I was wondering if there is a GPS unit available that lets you add only the street name & a zip code to point you in the rite direction, or do all GPS require a physical address to be entered.?
I’m looking for the best GPS unit to use for my new career path & this will be my first time ever using a GPS but I am very computer literate so I’m not afraid of electronics, lol. I would just much rather use a GPS from what I hear over a road atlas to get me going in the rite direciton, thx for any input you can provide.

    Depends on the GPS.
Some will let you program by town and street only, others expect a house number as well. Just put in a dummy number (100) if you have one of the latter. I’ve never noticed a menu that goes by zip code, but I haven’t looked either. Accuracy of maps is more brand dependant than price dependant but none of them get it perfect everytime.
The forum linked below will give you a good overview over what’s available. Don’t ask a question there until you’ve done a thorough search of previous questions.

I can’t say for ALL Sat-navs but on my TomTom Go 500 (couple of years old) you can navigate to a crossing of two roads, you would just input (in the uk this is what i do) navigate>to>crossing, it will ask you which town you say for instance liverpool, then it will ask you for the name of the 1st road, then it will ask you for 2nd road and then you just click go…hope this makes sense, but i do it all the time without thinking really
