Can An 18 Year Old Get His Cdl?

im about to turn 18 and would like to pursue a career driving a truck for atleast ten years, is it possible to get a cdl at age 18, and if so, will anyone hire me?

    You will only be able to driver intra-state loads, meaning the fixed intent of the load must be ENTIRELY within the state he is driving. (pick-up, destination, and origin). Just because you drive within the state, does not mean it is necessarily an intra-state load. (Intermodal container for example, could be picked up in philadelphia, driven to pittsburg, but because it originated in NYC at the port, it is an intersate load, meaning he needs to be 21) BE CAREFUL!
    You could look for work with a local farm- such as animal transport, feed mill, car parts, etc. Most others won’t hire until you are 21

    yes you can be 18 to get a CDL, at least in my state, but you gotta be 21 to be able to drive a vehicle that requires a CDL out of state, and even if you got a CDL b4 your 21 you probably won’t get hired at a local driving job because of insurance reasons mainly

    I don’t know if you can get it or not, it probably depends on the state, but until your 21 you probably won’t get hired by anyone. If you know someone that has a truck you may be able to get some experience driving with them, if there insurance will cover you.

    You can get a cdl in most states at 18 the only problem is you have to stay in that state. Over the road you have to be 21. There are lots of local jobs mostly like dump truck or local haul but over the road isnt gonna happen for awhile. SOrry

    They’ll want you too probably go to college for it first, then come to them. Some places may hire you, train you then put you out there.
    Typically they want you to go through the college driving school stuffs.

    nope bud u gota be 21 im pretty sure if not u can go to any driver license sites and look them up there…hope this helps u out. and no u aint gota go to collage or anything to be a trucker or get the cdl’s
